Seaside School Half Marathon & 5K Race

Each year Seaside, Florida turns into a runner’s haven. This year the Seaside School Half Marathon and 5K Race, presented by Vera Bradly takes place Friday, March 3rd through Sunday, March 5th, 2017. Festivities start Friday, March 3rd with some incredible parties and expos, and live entertainment leading up to the big race day. For most, this is one of the most anticipated weekends of the year in South Walton. The out-and-back, mostly flat course is enchanting for runners from all over the United States as they pass our quaint little beach towns, dune lakes, and the world’s most spectacular beaches. All proceeds benefit the Seaside School Foundation.

Over 4,000 people from all over the country are expected to come to our area to participate in the race this year! Thousands of friends and families will also be cheering from the sidelines along the Scenic Hwy 30A race course. Be sure and stop by and say hello to our team of Premier agents that will be out cheering on the runners outside of our WaterColor office Sunday during the race. The race course will continue west along Scenic 30A through WaterColor, over Western Lake in Grayton Beach, through Blue Mountain Beach to Gulf Place, and then back to Seaside.

Taste of the Race presented by Chef Emeril Lagasse will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017, Seaside, Florida. Enjoy cuisine from two of Emeril’s famous restaurants along with some of the Gulf Coast’s top chefs and restaurants such as Great Southern Café, The Bay, Stinky’s Fish Camp, Bud & Alley’s, and more while listening to live music! The outdoor evening festivities will be held rain or shine in a heated tent, under the big top. Saturday’s Race Expo & Silent Auction is one giant party with vendors, food and live entertainment all afternoon to get all of the runners motivated for the big day. We hope to see you all there for this exciting weekend!
