    Fall on the Emerald Coast | A Guide to Area Events


    • Panama City Beach Lobster Festival & Tournament: September 11th to 17th—The biggest 7-day lobster festival in Florida! Hosted by Schooners, The Last Local Beach Club, this festival draws divers and lobster fans from across the Southeast and includes the Schooners Sand Sculpting Contest.
    • The Destin Fishing Rodeo: October 1st to 31st—Dating back to 1948, the Destin Fishing Rodeo has been attracting anglers of all ages for the area’s ultimate saltwater fishing tournament. In addition to fishing contests and awards, the rodeo includes daily weigh-ins at AJ’s Seafood and Oyster Bar and kids activities.
    • Destin Seafood Festival: October 6th to 8th—A tribute to the rich history of the Destin Harbor, this free festival offers fireworks, arts, crafts, fresh local food, kids activities and live music. Held on the Destin Harbor Boardwalk the first weekend in October, the festival coincides with the kick-off of the Destin Fishing Rodeo.
    • Panama City Beach Oktoberfest: October 13th to 14th—Love the beach, brats and beer? Then Oktoberfest at Aaron Bessant Park is the place for you! This action-packed weekend includes music, live music, bounce houses and of course, lots of beer.
    • 30A Half Marathon & 5K: October 13th to 15th—A three-day festival that kicks off with the 30A BBQ Festival at Marina Park in Watercolor on Friday, a full day of food and entertainment on Saturday and a half marathon from Gulf Place to WaterColor and back on Sunday.
    • Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival: October 13th to 14th—Hosted at Baytowne Wharf in the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, this beer festival celebrates American specialty beers from around the nation. Sample craft beers and enjoy live music throughout the weekend.
    • Thunder Beach Autumn Motorcycle Rally: October 25th to 29th—Known as the “The Most Biker Friendly FREE Rally in the United States!” bikers, vendors and exhibitors from across the country come to Panama City Beach for live entertainment, motorcycle demos and group rides along the coast.
    • Mountainfilm on Tour at WaterColor: November 3rd to 4th—Experience two days of select, extraordinary films created to inspire courage, thought and empathy from the Telluride-based film festival under the stars in the WaterColor Resort on Scenic Highway 30A.
    • Seaside Seeing Red Wine Festival: November 9th to 12th—Typically a sell-out event, this wine festival includes four days of festivities include wine tastings, winemaker dinners and a Sunday brunch. The Seeing Red Wine Festival has been recognized as one of the “Top 10 Can’t-Miss Fall Wine Festivals,” by Fodor’s Travel.
