Digital Graffiti, held May 13-15 is one of those events that is bucket list worthy here along the Emerald Coast. Each year, the festival attracts all types of artists, filmmakers, musicians, photographers, celebrities and fans of art, technology and architecture. It is a one-of-a-kind art show where artists use the latest digital technology to project their works of art onto the iconic white walls at Alys Beach. This new trend of projecting digital art is often referred to as “Photon Bombing” or “Guerrilla Projection”. Underground artists around the globe use the latest design, animation and projection technologies to cast dynamic images onto urban structures and buildings as a means of artistic expression. Its no wonder Alys Beach is the perfect backdrop for this innovative art show featuring technology and architecture combined to create new and exciting forms art. Resulting in stunning larger-than-life explosions of colors, projected several stories tall onto the white homes and businesses of an entire beach community. Some of the art is even interactive giving art enthusiasts chance to participate, which we think is really cool. We absolutely LOVE this event, and look forward to it every year!
Not only does Alys Beach host one of the most unique art shows, but it is also a wonderful place to live or vacation year round. The community features an oasis naturally suited for relaxation, exploration and indulgence. Each property is unique to Alys Beach, and the architecture is creating a standard in luxury gulf-front living.
Designed to withstand the strongest hurricanes and last for generations, the homes at Alys Beach are built to meet the highest standards of the Institute for Business and Home Safety (IBHS), and as such will be certified as the first Fortified community in the U.S. Walls are solid concrete and masonry, roofs are grouted cement tile, and windows and doors exceed the requirements of the Florida Building Code for hurricane resistance. In this regard, as well as others, it is a groundbreaking model for sustainable building.
