Destin Market Review | Summer 2017 Wrap Up

    Summer 2017 was active for Destin sales with closings including 117 single family homes, 153 condominiums and 30 townhomes during the months of June, July and August. The highest sale overall was a Gulf front home in Crystal Beach at $3.15 million while the lowest sale was a townhome in Indian Hills at $64,000. Properties closed at an average of 95 to 98 percent of list prices, and average days on market ranged from 80 days to 213 days. As of September 4th, 2017, 64 single family homes, 88 condominiums and 44 townhomes are under contract.

    The most popular communities and developments in Destin during the summer months were Destiny for homes with 12 sales and Sandpiper Cove for condos with 15 sales. The townhome communities of Diamond Lakes, Destin Oaks, Magnolia Park, Pelican Place, Sandalwood Manor all tied for the top number of sales with three sales each. Median home values for each segment were $425,000 for homes, $315,000 for condos and $203,000 for townhomes.
