After a sleepy December, the 30A beaches come alive each year between Christmas and New Year’s Eve as locals and visitors venture out and about to celebrate the holidays and send the year off in style. Whether you prefer an intimate dinner for two, a festive family-friendly celebration or an evening of grown-up fun, the perfect 30A New Year’s Eve is waiting for you.
- Pre-Celebrations: Prefer to go out during the day before a quiet night at the house or want to start your celebration early? Head to Alys Beach for Salute 2017 at Fonville Press. From 11am to 2pm, enjoy lite fare, cocktails and live music. Then in Rosemary Beach, Havana Beach Bar & Grill hosts Adios 2017: A New Year’s Eve Sunset Celebration at the Havana Rooftop Lounge with food and drink specials.
- Special Dinners: Already have a favorite South Walton restaurant? Most establishments along 30A will be hosting New Year’s Eve dinners, some with reserved seating and special menus. Make your plans early before reservations book up and prepare for a delicious feast. On the east end of 30A, try Cuvee 30A, Havana Beach Bar & Grill, Restaurant Paradis, Edward’s Fine Dining or George’s at Alys Beach. Seagrove favorites Surfing Deer, Café Thirty-A and Old Florida Fish House have planned dinner events while west 30A options include The Red Bar, AJ’s Grayton Beach and The Marlin Grill.
- Family Celebrations: Want to ring in the new year with your whole family? Countdown Seaside begins at 7pm with face painting, crafts, live music and street performers followed by a show stopping fireworks display. In a similar style, Baytowne Countdown at the Village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin offers two separate fireworks displays at 8pm and midnight, live music and more.
